Biological Additives Biological Additives are used to add or enhance nitrifying bacteria in your aquarium. They help to speed up aquarium cycling and make it safer to add fish to a newly established aquarium.
Buffers and pH pH is extremely important to your aquarium's inhabitants health. Fluctuations or improper levels of pH can cause disease and death in your livestock. Buffers are used to keep pH at a desired level and pH controllers are use to raise or lower pH. Whenever using supplements that affect pH, care should be used so that the pH is not changed rapidly. Always follow manufacturers recommendations.
Cichlid Supplements Freshwater Cichlid Supplements help to recreate the natural conditions that cichlids are accustomed to in the wild.
Clarifiers Aquarium Clarifiers help clear cloudy aquariums by binding together suspended particles in the water so they can be removed by a mechanical filter.
Dechlorinators Dechlorinators and Ammonia Removers are used to neutralize ammonia, chlorine and chloramine in tap water before it is added to the aquarium. A dechlorinator should always be used when using tap water to do water changes or when adding top-off water.
General Supplements | |
Plant Supplements Freshwater Plant Supplements are used to add vitamins and minerals to the aquarium that are beneficial to aquarium plant growth.
Soft Water Supplements Softwater Supplements help recreate soft water conditions in your aquarium, also know as "Black Water".
Water Conditioners Water Conditioners are used to prepare reverse osmosis filtered water before adding it to your aquarium. They replenish beneficial elements, minerals and solids that may be removed by reverse osmosis filters.
